Stephanie Hetu, previous owner and webmistress deserves all the credit for the logo, color and basic design of the site you see here today. Sue and I both feel strongly that she will keep that well deserved credit because the changes you may see here have not affected those items at all and Sue and I will continue to thank Stephanie for the beautiful website design.
My involvement starts with an email from Sue. Would I consider taking on administrative duties for Vegetarian-Fun.com? Because I had some experience with website administration a few years ago, I had little doubt that I could accomplish the administrative aspects. What neither Sue nor I knew at that time was that Stephanie had decided she would no longer be involved with Vegetarian-Fun.com and would "hand the reins" over to us.
Stephanie's decision was unexpected, but Sue and I decided to take on the challenge of becoming the new owners. Still, the website needed changes that went well beyond the simple administrative tasks to which Sue and I were accustomed.
Vegetarian-Fun.com needed some simple work, but we also wanted a whole new range of options and updated technologies. I had never done any serious website construction at all. The closest I had come to what might be considered "construction" was my feeble attempt at building one whole personal page as part of my profile on a mini-site supplied by my internet provider. This was not going to help us effect the changes or remodeling of the sort Sue and I were looking to do here at Vegetarian-Fun.com! We were at a loss of even how to begin.
Stephanie now came to the rescue with one simple sentence. "Get a Homestead account."
What you see here today is the result of simple Homestead technologies that made building this beautiful website easier than either Sue or I could have hoped for in our wildest dreams. The Intuit Sitebuilder was so easy to understand and use that it found our construction complete far earlier than our original goal!
Yes, we occasionally hit some bumps along the way, but Homestead customer service was always there to help solve our problems! The four "serious" issues we encountered in customizing the website to suit our plans brought quick answers from Homestead's impeccable customer service representatives.
Each issue disappeared within minutes of our making contact with Homestead. Each person we spoke with had the immediate knowledge and expertise needed to help us fix whatever problem we had happened on at that point in time.
Only nine days found us finished with what we had wanted to get done, the Vegetarian-Fun.com website totally refurbished and back online! What newbie website builder could have expected such an experience? We have Homestead personnel to thank for that!
